“Inter” is a prefix that means between or among. Think interstate – a major roadway that goes between or among every state in the nation. As the name implies, InterAmerica Stage, Inc. was founded to provide stage machinery expertise between the Americas. These days, InterAmerica is living up to its name and then some via Motiongate Dubai.

“We are thrilled to see InterAmerica’s reach expand into Dubai,” said Jeff Craycraft, SkyDeck™ Sales Manager. “Working with the professionals at J&C Joel, we were able to bring advanced wire tension grid technology to the Motiongate project and we’re very proud of that.” J&C Joel is the distributor of InterAmerica’s signature product in the Middle East. Their engineers installed 1800 sq. ft. of SkyDeck™ to create four tension wire grid walkways in the mega-theme park’s theatre.

The modular wire mesh grid system ensures safe access to overhead theatrical equipment and serves as a transparent portal for lighting and sound with no discernable loss of signal or energy. Ben Richardson-Owen, Middle East Project Manager at J&C Joel, explained, “This was the first project where we have worked with the SkyDeck™ system, previously having used the traditional net system. We found the installation smooth and fast and were able to complete the installation on schedule.”

InterAmerica’s overseas presence include Argentina, Belgium, Mexico, Brazil, South Korea, Canada, Panama, Iceland, Hong Kong, and most recently, Qatar. Richardson-Owen added, “On the back of the Motiongate project we have been able to win another tension wire grid project using the SkyDeck™ system in Qatar and have been receiving [sic] enquires for many more projects.”

InterAmerica Stage, Inc. is an ETCP recognized company that proudly employs 13 ETCP Certified Riggers, including 1 Recognized Trainer and 1 Subject Matter Expert.
