Panels going up around the perimeter of the room.

Lake Highland Prep recently completed an upgrade of their black box theatre space. Based on how the space is used, they decided to install SkyDeck around the perimeter, allowing access to lighting equipment while seating and scenery were in place.

Matt Smith, technical director, had this to say about the new upgrade:

"It's awesome. The structure of it is playing into the first production we're doing in October. It's called Radium Girls and the new grid kind of ties into the industrial feel of the show."

The decision to install SKyDeck came about when Matt met Solana Bolton, one of our production managers, at LDI 2013. As he and Solana were standing on a SkyDeck panel, talking about the black box, Matt thought, "All I would need is a catwalk made out of SkyDeck and all my problems would be solved!" The rest, as they say, is history.

"It's really going to change what we can do in the space," Matt said. "You can't ask for more than that!"
