The renovation of the stage roof was part of the Elevate Denver 10-year bond program, whose mission is to enhance the City and County of Denver through critical improvements to the City’s infrastructure. Explaining how this program came to benefit Red Rocks, Tad Bowman, Venue Director, stated it plainly, “The current stage roof was installed in 1988 and it has outlived its life expectancy.”

Alex Rauch of Short Elliot Hendrickson Inc., placed emphasis on creating a strong, extremely efficient structure that looked like it belonged in the landscape as much as the red rocks themselves. Read more about the renovation in our own blog post or in  LSA_2021_Raising the Roof at Red Rocks.
