Change is Good, but the Dollar Loan Center IS Better
I typically like to publish blog posts after a venue is completed, but we’re just so excited over here about the progress at Dollar Loan Center (formerly Henderson Events Center) that I’m going to shout out about it a little early.
Vegas Golden Knights Chairman and CEO Bill Foley describes the new facility like this, “The Dollar Loan Center is designed as a world-class multi-purpose venue that will not only be the home of the Henderson Silver Knights and the Southern Nevada Hall of Fame, it will also host a variety of events and programming that will create memorable, positive experiences for our fans and their families.”
This is an indoor space that will seat roughly 6,000. The decision to replace the Henderson Pavilion, which was an outdoor space, was made to improve visitor experience for the entire Henderson community, from fans and residents to performers and players. There’s a lot to be said for air conditioning in Nevada and a reduction of ambient noise from the outdoors!
The venue is still under construction, but I can say for certain that their 114 grid panels were shipped out to Henderson in late April. That’s a flatbed truck with 6974ft2 of SkyDeck™ on it. That’s all I can say about it right now, but you can keep an eye on the construction here via the live cam on the Dollar Loan Center’s website. We’ll be watching, too, and you can be sure that we’ll share !
